I think Chas feels he wants to shoot the plane him self with the machine gun. If planes were boming my town I would be furious and want it to stop. It wouldn't be cool if they bombed my school I probaly won't see my friends because I live out in the country. I think using simple John won't backfire because he's a simple man and he wont get very agressive

I would be celebrating but after a while it would get boring and I would want to go back to school.
Chas’s plan to use simple john is to get him to help them because he want tell anybody.
I don’t think it want cause any problem with the gangs.
I think that Chas is scared that the german bomber might come after him because the bomber blew up the air ships.
